Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
Colada Marketing operates coladamarketing.com. This policy explains how information is handled when you browse this website, contact us, apply to work with us, or send a marketing brief, including through Custom Colada. It does not describe the separate websites we build or manage for clients.
Information you choose to provide
Our inquiry forms ask for contact and project information, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, website, budget, goals, preferred timing and message. Custom Colada also records the services, quantities, term and start date you select, the estimate shown, and your submission consent. Required and optional fields are identified in the form.
Career applications include the contact details, specialty, cover letter and resume you submit. If you select an optional mailing-list checkbox, we receive that preference too. A project inquiry or Custom Colada brief is not, by itself, a mailing-list signup.
Please do not put passwords, payment-card details, government identification or other unnecessary sensitive information into a message or attachment.
How we use it
We use the information you send to respond to your request, discuss your project, prepare a scope or proposal, maintain related correspondence, or assess a career application. We also use technical information to operate the website, investigate problems, limit spam and abuse, and understand which pages and services visitors use.
Custom Colada
You can build an estimate without sending us your contact details. The builder saves your service choices in your browser’s local storage so you can return to your mix. A share link contains plan choices, not your contact fields; anyone you give that link to can view those choices.
When you send a brief, your contact details and the submitted plan are saved in private website records for Colada staff to review. The builder does not put contact fields into its share links or browser storage. It uses a separate, opaque submission reference in session storage and a secure session cookie to help recover your saved brief after an interrupted response. That cookie is set for 30 days. Clearing site data may prevent you from reopening a brief in that browser; it does not delete a brief already submitted to us.
Sending a brief does not take a payment, charge a deposit or authorize recurring billing. The current builder intake does not collect payment-card information.
Cookies, analytics and embedded services
Our website and service providers receive technical information when your browser connects, such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested and request times. Cookies and browser storage support functions such as security, forms, saved selections and measuring website use.
We use Google Analytics to understand traffic and interactions, including visits, service selections and successful form submissions. Custom Colada’s interaction events contain predefined service choices, counts and submission outcomes, not the names, email addresses, messages or private access references entered in its brief. These analytics are separate from the brief itself.
Pages may also load Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection, Google Fonts, or embedded video content. These services receive information directly from your browser and may use cookies under their own policies. Read Google’s Privacy Policy for more information.
You can manage cookies and stored site data in your browser and use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on on supported browsers. Blocking cookies or storage can affect forms and saved-plan recovery. External links and embedded services are subject to their providers’ privacy practices.
Who can receive information
Colada staff use inquiry and application information for the purposes above. Website hosting, email delivery, security and analytics providers also process information needed to provide those services. Website forms can send your inquiry to our team by email as well as store it in website records. Saved Custom Colada contact details are available through staff-only administration, not its public share links.
Service providers may process information in Canada or other countries. Information processed abroad can be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access by its authorities. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Keeping and protecting information
We use HTTPS and access controls for this website. Custom Colada encrypts its stored contact fields and restricts the staff brief inbox to authorized administrators. No website or email system can guarantee complete security.
Submitted inquiries, project records and related correspondence remain in our website or email records for follow-up and administration; copies may also exist in backups. Browser storage expiry, an expired access link, or resetting a mix is not deletion of a submitted record. There is no automatic deletion deadline for submitted briefs in the current intake. Contact us to ask what we retain or to request deletion. We will review the request in light of its purpose and any legal or contractual recordkeeping requirements.
Your choices, questions and requests
You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used or shared, raise a privacy concern, or withdraw consent for further contact. We may need to verify your identity before providing records or making changes. Some requests are subject to legal exceptions, and withdrawing information needed for a project may affect our ability to provide that service.
For privacy requests, contact Colada Marketing management at info@coladamarketing.com or +1 905 259 2256, and mention that your request concerns privacy. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about a privacy concern.
We may update this policy when our practices change. The date above identifies the latest version.
